Dr. Michael-A. Leuthner and the network
Michael-A., graduate of University of Stuttgart, Germany, with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering received in 1988, and a Master's Degree with a concentration in Finance and Controlling received in 1996. PhD thesis was written with the Vienna University of Economics and Business at the Department of Financial Accounting and Auditing.
These studies were completely self-financed through work in engineering offices and as a freelance design engineer. This experience has proven very useful in restructuring projects, especially in the technical environment.
Michael-A. started his professional career at AUDI AG at Ingolstadt, Germany, in the area of Controlling. He then joined FESTO AG in Esslingen, Germany, in the area of Product Planning and Controlling.
This was followed by experience in a management consultancy firm focusing on restructuring and turnaround management.
After the consultancy firm Michael-A. returned to industry, first as commercial director at the Metro Group and then as CFO of a Black & Decker subsidiary.
Today Michael-A. concentrates on restructuring of mid-sized companies and specializes in overhauling financial controlling & pre-audit support, fraud investigantions, entrepreneurial services and implementation of shared services organizations.
Michael-A. routinely lectures at universities of cooperative education.
In addition, he is a member of the following professional organizations:

- Association of Certified Fraud Examiners,
- Institute of Internal Auditors.
